Vale Neville Wayne Morcombe KC

Sadly, Neville Morcombe KC passed away on 26 March 2025 at the age of 76, after battling cancer. Neville had been a highly respected and distinguished member of Edmund Barton Chambers from 1985 to 2018, serving as Head of Chambers for some years and providing invaluable mentorship to junior barristers both within and outside of Edmund Barton Chambers. He held many positions of leadership during his career, including President of the Law Society and Presiding Member of the Legal Practitioners’ Conduct Tribunal. Neville was also a Defence Force Magistrate and Judge Advocate from 1989 to 2007. He was appointed Queens Counsel in 1991. He leaves a legacy of legal excellence and integrity in the profession in South Australia and beyond.
